WATCH: Foo Fighters Jam ‘Best Of You’ With Shania Twain Austin City Limits

October 11, 2023

Uh. Wow. If you haven’t watched this, you’re welcome. And, I don’t know. I don’t know why Shania Twain is up on-stage with Foo Fighters, pretending to know the words n’ sing along to ‘Best Of You’. Ah, Austin City Limits, thank you. You never disappoint.

To be fair, Shania Twain is a massive star – and had played the night before Foo. So sure, why not stick around the next day and sing a tune with the boys? Also, why not learn their song then? Look, I don’t mean to be a dick here, but watch the first 30 seconds – listen – and tell me Shania knows what the hell is going on here.

Meanwhile, last week Foo Fighters announced the “Everything Or Nothing At All” 2024 tour – hitting New York’s Citi Field for the first time since 2015 for a July 17 and 19 doubleheader. Expect big big shows – arena tour!

Foo will tour to support their new album, “But Here We Are” – their tenth album to break the Top 10 of the US Album chart!

Foo Fighters are now well on their way with new drummer, Josh Freese. He played his first show with the band on May 24 ’23 at Bank Of New Hampshire Pavilion At Meadowbrook in Gilford, New Hampshire.

Of course, Freese replaces longtime Foo drummer Taylor Hawkins, who died March ’22 at the age of 50.

Freese is a veteran in the music community – having performed with Guns N’ Roses, A Perfect Circle, Puddle Of Mudd, Nine Inch Nails, Weezer, Paramore, Sting, and more. Personally, the question now is will Josh Freese nail himself down to Foo Fighters – or will he continued to be L.A./Hollywood’s top hired gun?

He’s played on more than 300 recordings ranging from pop to rock to country.

And to put a bow on this one – back to the original thought of this post – Shania’s iffy performance on “Best Of You”. What’s the other side of the coin? What’s the best on-stage collaboration you’ve seen or can think of?
