U2’s Bono and The Edge share trailer for Disney+ documentary special with David Letterman

U2 fans have gotta love this news! There’s a documentary coming to Disney+ next month that has singer Bono and guitarist The Edge showing David Letterman around Dublin. And based on the trailer below, it looks like it’s put together quite well!

The documentary, Bono & The Edge: A Sort Of Homecoming, with David Letterman, is described in a press release as “part concert movie, part travel adventure plus a whole lot of Bono and The Edge, with Dave’s humor throughout.”

You’ll be able to see the doc as of March 17, coinciding with the release of U2’s new compilation album, ‘Songs Of Surrender’, 40 “reimagined and re-recorded” songs (including ‘Pride (In The Name Of Love)’ and ‘With Or Without You’.

Guitarist The Edge announced the album in a series of handwritten letters, explaining that “most of U2’s work “was written and recorded when we were a bunch of very young men” and that the songs had changed over the years to “mean something quite different to us now. Some have grown with us. Some we have outgrown, but we have not lost sight of what propelled us to write those songs in the first place. The essence of those songs is still in us. But how to reconnect with that essence when we have moved on and grown so much?”

Meanwhile, it was announced earlier this month (during the Super Bowl) that U2 is doing a Las Vegas residency in fall ’23 and they’ll focus on songs from their 1991 album, ‘Achtung Baby’.
