The Offspring’s New Album Is ‘Almost Done’

March 18, 2024

The Offspring guitarist Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman was interviewed by Chile’s Radio Futuro over the weekend and talked about following-up 2021’s “Let The Bad Times Roll” LP, “We’ve been working on a bunch of new stuff. The record’s almost done. We’re hoping to be done in the next couple of months and have it released at the end of the year.”

The band is once again in studio with mega-producer Bob Rock (Metallica, Motley Crue). You heard Rock’s work with The Offspring on their last three albums, including “Let The Bad Times Roll”.

If you caught guitarist Noodles’ appearance on “The Jesea Lee Show” in September ’23, he talked about how the new stuff follows an “old-school” feel and talked about if represents the band’s future direction. “It’s a little bit of both — all that. The last song we did definitely sounds like an old-school — sounds kind of like ‘Come Out Swinging’. Definitely some old-school stuff and then some rocking stuff and then some kind of poppy punk stuff too, for sure.”

“Let The Bad Times Roll” was a big album, globally. The band hit career-high chart debuts with seven Top 5 and ten Top 10 international debuts and nine Top 10 debuts in the U.S. And went to #1 on the Alternative Albums chart in the States.

40 million albums sold. Looking to add more millions sold with new music. And they will. How cool is is that we’re lucky enough to have The Offspring still creating music for us?!

Bottom line – A new Offspring album is coming soon! And that’s got a good ring to it, eh?
