Can you believe that Pearl Jam‘s ‘Vs.’ LP is turning 30?! And yes, in celebration, there will be a reissue of their second studio album! They will release 2xLP ‘Dreamsicle’-colored vinyl as well as a clear cassettes thru their official fan club, “Ten Club”. You’ll also be able to pick up a clear 1xLP at Target in the U.S. and other international retailers as well as a classic 2xLP black pressing.
The ‘Vs.’ 30th-anniversary reissue is being released on November 17.
‘Vs.’ is Pearl Jam’s second album and sold over 950,000 copies during the five days of release! That was good enough to set a record (beating Gn’R’s 1991 LP ‘Use Your Illusion II’) for the most copies of an album sold within the first week of its release.
Vs. went to #1 on the US Billboard 200 for five weeks straight, making it the longest run at the top for any Pearl Jam release to date!
Other accolades on the ‘Vs.’ album include: 7x platinum in the U.S. The song ‘Daughter’ recently reached RIAA platinum status and ‘Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town’ earned its gold status.
