Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus Is Cancer-Free: “Life’s great!”

April 20, 2022

Blink 182’s Mark Hoppus was recently stopped on the street by a TMZ journalist and talked about new music and being cancer-free!

As you’ll remember, Hoppus was diagnosed with 4-A diffuse large B-cell lymphoma last year. A scary time for family, friends and fans.

Last November he wrote on his Instagram account, “I have so much to be thankful for today. This photo is from June, halfway through chemo, no idea if it was working or not, relegated to the bathroom floor, retching. If I ever complain about something trivial or unimportant, please show me this photo to remind me of how bad things can be, and how truly blessed I am.”

Now, Hoppus told TMZ, “Life’s great! I’m glad to be here.” He added that he “wanted to get back into the studio and get back playing music, and get off the couch.”

Blink played a show last October, the first since announcing he was cancer-free.

Meanwhile, former Blink-182 guitarist Tom Delonge mended his friendship with Hoppus since learning he had cancer. Now if we could just get the band back together again…
