I put the trailer before for you – in case you need a refresher on the original. Peter Berg directed (Patriots Day, Deepwater Horizon) and Breaking Bad’s Vince Gilligan with Vy Vincent Ngo wrote – stars Will Smith as an amnesiac, alcoholic superhero.
And, as you might imagine, with the movie being named Hancock, I enjoyed that.
Anyway, Will’s character saves the lives of a couple (played by Jason Bateman and Charlize Theron), who then try to improve Hancock’s public image. It’s actually quite a good movie.
It grossed over $600 million. Was made for $150 million. So yeah, they’re keen to make another.
Why not?! If it’s anywhere near as good as the first – and with Zendaya being targeted – again, why not?
Smith told xQc’s Twitch stream, “There’s a really cool, really cool Hancock 2 idea. We haven’t even talked about it so I’m gonna give you one little piece – Zendaya is being approached for a role in Hancock 2.”
Sony Pictures has refused to comment. LOL okay then. Babies.
Zendaya is busy. Filming ‘Dune’ later this year. She’s connected to Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’, the fourth entry in Marvel’s Spider-Man series, and the third season of ‘Euphoria’.
So yeah, clearly Zendaya isn’t busy enough and needs to take on another project.
Word is she’s now engaged to her Spider-Man co-star Tom Holland (this isn’t confirmed? I thought it was) – which will mean time spent on wedding plans, honeymooon, etc. Busy busy.
Will Smith, meanwhile, has been focused on returning to music, last year releasing the single ‘Work Of Art’ featuring son Jaden and Russ, and then another song ‘Tantrum’ with Joyner Lucas.
