Woah, this is a long time in the making. Wallace & Gromit are set to return in a new feature length film!
You can watch the the first teaser trailer above. The new movie is the first in the series since 2008. I guess that kinda puts it into perspective, just how long it takes them to create these movies. Wow!
The official synopsis reads, “After a recent crime wave of stolen garden goods from across the region, Wallace and his pre-programmed smart gnome, Norbot, are the main suspects. While Wallace proclaims his innocence, it’s up to Gromit once again to battle sinister forces, or Wallace will never invent again! But who could possibly be behind such evil actions?! Rightfully behind bars for all this time, Feathers McGraw is back with vengeance.”
The last time you saw McGraw was in ’93s BAFTA & Academy Award-winning Wallace And Gromit short film The Wrong Trousers.
Ben Whitehead will now star as Wallace (original voice actor Peter Sallis died in 2017). Peter Kay is back as chief inspector Macintosh. Lauren Patel (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Lloyd Of The Flies), Diane Morgan, Adjoa Andoh, Muzz Khan (Brassic, Galavant) and Lenny Henry also star.
Meanwhile, the creators of Wallace & Gromit have denied this is their last movie due to a shortage of their unique brand of clay. “We are touched about recent concern over the future of our beloved clay creations, but wanted to reassure fans that there is absolutely no need to worry.”
