Watch QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE First Concert In Over Three Years

May 29, 2023

Queens Of The Stone Age played their first show in more than three years this past weekend (Friday, May 26) at the Sonic Temple festival in Columbus, Ohio. The last show QOTSA played was a one-off in early 2020 (their first since 2018).

If you were lucky enough to be in the audience, they played an 11-song set, which included the live debut of the band’s new single, “Emotion Sickness”. That’s on their eighth studio album, “In Times New Roman…”, due out on June 16 via Matador.

The Sonic Temple festival setlist:

01. No One Knows
02. The Lost Art Of Keeping A Secret
03. My God Is The Sun
04. If I Had A Tail
05. The Evil Has Landed
06. I Sat By The Ocean
07. Emotion Sickness (live debut)
08. Little Sister
09. Sick, Sick, Sick
10. Go With The Flow
11. A Song For The Dead

The band recorded “In Times New Roman…” at Homme’s own Pink Duck (RIP),with additional recording at Shangri-La.

QOTSA’s last album, 2017’s “Villains”, debuted #3 on the Billboard 200 chart. Do you think they’ll better that with the new album? I do.
