Watch Netflix’s teaser trailer for Adam Sandler’s ‘Happy Gilmore 2’

What a Christmas present! Netflix dropped a special teaser trailer for Adam Sandler‘s ‘Happy Gilmore 2‘ on Christmas day!

To be honest, you don’t really get too much info from this teaser, but at least we get to see something!

In the short teaser, you see Sandler’s Gilmore returning to a golf tournament. Then there’s quick shots of Travis Kelce and Bad Bunny, and short scenes with Julie Bowen and Christopher McDonald; reprising their roles from the original 1996 movie.

Of course, in the original, Sandler plays Happy Gilmore, a hockey player with anger management issues who discovers he’s also good at golf. Gilmore enters a golf tournament to win money to save his grandmother’s house, facing off with the arrogant Shooter McGavin. The movies also starred Carl Weathers and Bob Barker.

And there’s more cameos in Happy Gilmore 2. Margaret Qualley recently revealed that her husband, Jack Antonoff, landed her role. Apparently he told Sandler she was a good golfer. “What a good husband. And I can’t golf. He lied for the sake of the family… I never golfed a day in my life. I’m terrible, actually.”

She added that the role was “the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I’m essentially deep background, but I can die happy now.”

Apparently Eminem has an ‘insane’ cameo, too. Sandler hasn’t said what that entails, but did say, “Eminem was cool. He came by, he was great. I’ve known Eminem for a long time, he’s a great guy and he came in and was funny as hell.”

Sandler continued, “I think we just hung out a day with Eminem and he just shot and shot and he was insane. He said a million things we can use and a million that we’re glad we have him on tape.”

A release date for Happy Gilmore 2 hasn’t been announced, but it will be in 2025 and it will be on Netflix.

This movie has super-high expectations. Happy Gilmore is so damn good. Which other 90s movies need a sequel?
