The time has come. This past weekend, Ozzy Osbourne played his final solo show ahead of Black Sabbath‘s farewell concert.

Some footage is posted below. Enjoy!

‘Back To The Beginning’ is Ozzy’s farewell and Sabbath’s last hooray! The all-day event would have been something to attend, hey? It took place at Villa Park in Birmingham on July 5. Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello was the day’s Musical Director.

Before Black Sabbath’s set, Ozzy did a 5-song final performance, rising up from beneath the stage on a giant winged throne.

“It’s so good to be on this fucking stage, you have no idea,” Oz said. “Let the madness begin!”

Ozzy Osbourne final performance setlist:

I Don’t Know
Mr. Crowley
Suicide Solution
Mama, I’m Coming Home
Crazy Train

‘Back To The Beginning’ saw members of The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, RATM, the Chili Peppers and Blink-182 come together for a Led Zeppelin cover and Yungblud lead another ‘supergroup’ in a version of ‘Changes’, which they dedicated to late footballer Diogo Jota.

Ozzy hasn’t played a full show since 2018 and has had multiple surgeries and numerous health problems, including Parkinson’s in recent years.

Honestly, it’s amazing to see Ozzy participating at all. But good on him for soldiering on, and bangin’ out one last performance.

Sad day in rock, really. The Prince of Darkness is calling it a career. But hey, No More Tears. Right?
