Why can’t cool shit like this happen at the concerts you’re at, right?! Deftones singer Chino Moreno jumped on stage with Smashing Pumpkins last night (Wednesday, September 25) at Providence Park in Portland, Oregon. Lucky for the crowd! Chino did “Jellybelly” (off ’95’s “Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness” LP) with the Pumpkins. Good choice!

Smashing Pumpkins are on tour with Green Day – supporting their “Saviors” world tour. The Pumpkins tour to support their new album “Aghori Mhori Mei”, which features the band’s original members Jimmy Chamberlin, James Iha and Billy Corgan.
Miraculously, the band completed the recording of the new album during a massive world tour over the last few years. As you’d expect, the album was well-received, getting to Top 10 on Spotify’s U.S. and global album debut charts, while the album’s single “Sighommi” was the most added song across the U.S. at both Alternative and Rock Radio!
That’s big.
Oh, and remember Chino from Deftones singing with them? Yeah. That. This video deserves 3 minutes of your time.
Unquestionably, Smashing Pumpkins remain one of the most iconic and influential bands of our time.
Let’s look at some of their accolades.
* 30 million+ albums sold
* two Grammy Awards
* two MTV VMAs
* one American Music Award
Rolling Stone cited both “Siamese Dream” and “Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness” among its “500 Greatest Albums Of All Time”.
So cool to see Chino on stage with Billy.
What’s the coolest guest musician you’ve seen on-stage? I’ve seen Nickelback have Jerry Cantrell jump up and play. That was rad.
