Who the hell could’ve seen this one coming?! Adam Gontier is back singing with Three Days Grace! As you know, Adam quit the band back in 2013 – over 10 YEARS AGO. Adam’s back, and Three Days singer Matt Walst remains too! 3DG is now a two-singer band!
The band teased Gontier’s return earlier this week by posting a voicemail message Adam left Matt, saying he’d “be at the studio soon, if you can just let everybody know.”
Gontier said, “I feel like it’s been seamless, better than we were expecting. It’s like we got back in a room together and picked up where we left off. We have been friends for so long, it’s kind of natural to get back in the room together.”
Walst said, “It’s been so much fun and inspiring making this record. Combining over 20 years of Three Days Grace and doing something that no band has ever done. I’m excited for the fans to hear it!”
In April 2023, Gontier joined Three Days Grace on-stage at the band’s concert in Huntsville, Alabama. Adam sang two songs with them, “Never Too Late” and “Riot”. After the show, the band shared on social media, “Soooo we did a thing.”
In July 2022, Gontier said a reunion with the band was likely to happen “down the road at some point.”
Rock Feed interviewed Adam years ago, and asked him if he’d be into working with Three Days Grace again. “You know what? Yeah. I mean, for sure. We’ve all grown up. It’s been a while. There’s no hard feelings or anything like that. We’re all in touch now and we talk and text and stuff. We haven’t really talked about doing anything — not yet anyway — but I feel like something like that is most likely down the road at some point.”
Oh, and no, Adam reuniting with 3DG doesn’t mean the end for Saint Asonia.

Three Days Grace’s latest album, “Explosions”, was released in May ’22. I’d be willing to be you’ll hear another album, with Adam on it, sooner than later!
