Tesla’s Brian Wheat & Tommy Skeoch Reunite in New Band Terminal

Big news if you’re a Tesla fan! Bassist and founding member Brian Wheat has joined forces with original guitarist Tommy Skeoch in a new band called Terminal! Rounding out the lineup? Former W.A.S.P. guitarist Chris Holmes and original Saliva singer Josey Scott!

Wheat broke the news about Terminal on his Instagram account, posting a photo with Skeoch, writing:

“It’s good to reconnect with my old pal Tommy Skeoch. We’re working on a new band together called Terminal with Chris Holmes and Josey Scott from Saliva. We look forward to presenting you with our new brand of music.

No, I am not leaving Tesla. I’m just starting another new band with my old friend. Also look for me and Alex with Violet Breed and a lot of new exciting Tesla stuff coming up in the works. Love you all, B Dub.”

The reunion comes on the heels of Wheat jumping on stage with Bad Marriage (Skeoch’s current band) this past July in Webster, NY. The first time the two had shared a stage in nearly 20 years. Together, they tore through Tesla classics “Rock Me To The Top” and “Little Suzi.”

This collaboration has been brewing for a while. Back in January, Wheat told Canada’s Border City Rock Talk:

“Me and Chris [Holmes] are gonna do a band or a project, whatever you wanna call it. And Tommy has agreed to do it as well… I know me and Tommy know how to write songs together ’cause we did a lot in Tesla. So the next step would be to get me and Tommy and Chris together… and then find a singer that would be the right singer for that project.”

And they found their singer: Josey Scott. And now it’s official!

Skeoch is a founding member of Tesla, playing on albums like Mechanical Resonance (1986) and Five Man Acoustical Jam (1990). He was fired in 2006 after struggling with substance-abuse issues.

Now, nearly two decades later, Skeoch and Wheat are back together, with Holmes and Scott in the fold. Terminal is on the runway!

Pretty cool ‘supergroup’! What’s been your favourite from over-the-years?
