Taylor Swift Bigger Than The Beatles?
How about this for a stat? Have you heard this? Taylor Swift‘s music has now spent more time in the Billboard 200’s top 10 than ANY OTHER ARTIST over the last six decades, including The Beatles!
Billboard said the mega-pop star passed John, Paul, George n’ Ringo yesterday, on Monday, Feb. 26.
Sixteen of Swift’s songs have spent a total of 384 weeks in the top 200, while The Beatles have 382 weeks. The Rolling Stones are #3 with 309, Barbra Streisand has 277, while Drake and Mariah Carey are tied with 233 each.
And it’s only getting better for Taylor – she currently has THREE ALBUMS in the Top 10: 1989 (Taylor’s Version) at No. 6, Lover at No. 7 and Midnights at No. 9.
Swift’s self-titled studio debut went to #8 on the Billboard 200 in November 2007. Every album since has gone to #1!
Taylor’s had a banner year – winning Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year at this year’s Grammy Awards. “This is my thirteenth Grammy, which is my lucky number.”
Taylor has a new album coming out April 19. You can expect that to be massive, too.
