Good News! You’ll be able to grab Rush‘s first four albums with Atlantic Records on vinyl in an upcoming boxed set that includes “Presto” (1989),”Roll The Bones (1991), “Counterparts” (1993) and “Test For Echo” (1996)!
You’ll be able to get “The Albums: 1989-1996” on the band’s store RushBackstage.com and Rhino.com on November 1 as a 6LP boxed set!
These albums cover the first four albums that Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart recorded for Atlantic Records before their hiatus in ’97. As you’d expect, each album has a print of reimagined cover artwork. Bands always seem to do that, hey?
“Presto” is RUSH’s thirteenth studio album and their first with Atlantic Records. It went to #16 on Billboard.
“Roll The Bones” went to #3 in the U.S., #10 in the U.K. and #11 in Canada.
“Counterparts” went to #2 on the Billboard 200. It was certified platinum and received a ’94 Grammy Award nomination for “Best Rock Instrumental Performance” for their track “Leave That Thing Alone”.
“Test For Echo” got to #5 on the Billboard chart and the title track went to #1 on the Mainstream Rock Track chart.
Rush was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2013.
Rush has the third-highest number of consecutive gold and platinum studio albums by a rock band, only The Beatles and The Rolling Stones have more.
If Rush isn’t the best Canadian rock band of all-time, which band is?
