Ronnie Wood Confirms: The Rolling Stones’ Next Album Is Done and Dropping in 2026

Ronnie Wood just dropped a bombshell! The Rolling Stones’ new album is done and you should hear it next year!

Following the success of Hackney Diamonds (2023), The Stones’ 25th studio album is ready to go!

Rumours of new music started buzzing earlier this summer, then caught fire when producer Andrew Watt (Elton John, Lady Gaga, Ed Sheeran) said he’d been back in the studio with Mick, Keith, and Ronnie. Watt, of course, was behind the board for Hackney Diamonds, which won the band a Grammy.

Now, Wood has made it official. While signing copies of his new Fearless anthology at the Stones’ RS No.9 shop on Carnaby Street, he told The Sun:

“Yes, you will be getting a new album next year. It is done.”

Wood also teased that he, Mick Jagger, and Keith Richards are eyeing a tour to go with the release:

“Yes, we are hoping to do some dates. Hopefully we’ll be back out there, but I’m still waiting to find out myself.”

Keith’s son, Marlon Richards, backed that up earlier this year, saying the band had been recording in West London. “Nearly done” were his exact words and still pulling those trademark late-night sessions: “after lunch until, like, two in the morning.”

He even hinted this record might be a direct follow-up to Hackney Diamonds:

“They got a Grammy, so now they’re hyped up. ‘We can do another one like that!’”

As for touring? Nothing confirmed yet, but Marlon mentioned “a tour of Europe” is being floated around.

How old are these guys? 80? And they keep going?! The new album should be called “Energizer Bunnies”. Good on these crazy bastards!
