Phoebe Waller-Bridge working on new ‘Tomb Raider’ TV series

January 29, 2023

Great news! Phoebe Waller-Bridge is working on developing a TV series based on the Tomb Raider video game!

Word is Waller-Bridge is set to write the series’ scripts and act as executive producer. She won’t star in the series.

Some background, Tomb Raider was originally released in 1996 for PC and PS1. There was a reboot in 2013. And you may remember last year Amazon Games gave the green light to publish another reboot.

It’s a huge franchise. In 2001, Angelina Jolie starred as Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider movie, with a sequel released in 2003. In 2018, Alicia Vikander starred in a reboot.

Meanwhile, later this year, Waller-Bridge is set to play Indiana Jones’ goddaughter Helena in the upcoming reboot (and final instalment in the series) Indiana Jones & The Dial Of Destiny. That movie is set for release on June 30.
