Pantera 5-LP Picture-Disc Vinyl Boxed Set Coming Next Month

June 6, 2023

You’ll need this if you’re an ultimate Pantera fan. Their studio albums are making their picture-disc debuts in a new five-LP boxed set!

You can order “The Complete Studio Albums 1990-2000” (picture discs) at Rhino.com, Pantera.com, and indie retailers on July 21. It’s a limited run of 3,500 copies worldwide ($149.98)!

The collection includes the double-platinum albums “Cowboys From Hell” (1990) and “Vulgar Display Of Power” (1992), platinum albums “Far Beyond Driven” (1994) and “The Great Southern Trendkill” (1996) and the gold-certified record “Reinventing The Steel” (2000).

As you likely know, Pantera’s surviving members, singer Phil Anselmo and bassist Rex Brown recently united with guitarist Zakk Wylde (Ozzy, Black Label Society) and drummer Charlie Benante (Anthrax) for a world tour under, as Pantera.

Drummer Vinnie Paul and guitarist Dimebag co-founded Pantera. When they broke up in ’03, they started Damagplan. And on December 8, 2004, while playing a show at the Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio, Dime was shot and killed onstage.

Vinnie died on June 22, 2018, at his home in Las Vegas at the age of 54. He died of dilated cardiomyopathy, an enlarged heart, as well as severe coronary artery disease.

Check out our interview with Vinnie, only months before he passed.

RIP Vinnie.
