Nothing But Thieves Announce New Album Stray Dogs And Massive 2027 World Tour

There’s a point where a band stops feeling like they’re building momentum and more like they’re kicking doors of hinges. Nothing But Thieves is at that point. New era. New record. And a tour scale that makes it clear they’re not fucking around anymore.

Nothing But Thieves just announced their new album “Stray Dogs,” out September 25 via RCA Records / Sony Music. And, they released the new single “Evolution” and their biggest headline tour to date.

The Southend five-piece is stepping into this next chapter after marking their 10-year milestone last year, with “Stray Dogs” becoming their fifth studio album following 2023’s “Dead Club City,” as well as “Moral Panic,” “Broken Machine,” and their self-titled debut.

Recorded at Angelic Studios, the same space where they made their debut, the band say the album reconnects with their early DIY spirit while pulling that energy into something bigger and more intentional.

Instead of piecing songs together between tours, they wrote “Stray Dogs” over a focused five-month stretch, working in the same space, at the same time, with the same shared intent. The result, they say, is their most cohesive and liberated work yet.

The new single “Evolution,” first teased through cryptic posters and a YouTube livestream, sets the tone.

“It’s a song that’s not too concerned about finality,” the band explained. “Imperfection and authenticity is becoming ever more valuable and it’s definitely something we’re drawn to.”

“We’ve spent some time trying to work out what’s real and tangible about who we are and how we use our time. The people we travel the world with, the human moments on stage, the connection we make with those who come to our shows. That’s real… It’s a bit of a love letter to the people in our world in that way.”

If the record is about returning to roots, the tour is about blowing them wide open!

The band will launch their biggest headline run in 2027, stretching across the UK, Europe, and North America, with arena-level shows including London’s O2, Manchester’s Co-Op Live, and major stops across cities like Paris, Berlin, New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto.

In North America, the run includes Vancouver, Seattle, Los Angeles, Chicago, Montreal, and a final stretch through Boston and New York, marking one of their most extensive live pushes to date.

The UK leg follows their upcoming support slot for Biffy Clyro at major outdoor shows this summer, plus recent appearances including Radio 1’s Big Weekend.

After a decade in, is Nothing But Thieves entering their most defining era yet? I think so. Love this band!
