Nickelback still has something to say. After more than 30 years together, countless arena tours and a career filled with songs that have become part of rock culture, they just announced their 11th studio album!
Nickelback’s Everything Under The Sun, is arriving October 30 via Virgin Music Group. The album follows 2022’s Get Rollin’ and arrives alongside the release of the heavy new single Rattle The Cage.
“This album has every side of the band on it,” explained singer Chad Kroeger.
“There are songs that hit as hard as anything we’ve ever done, songs that take chances, and songs that remind us why we’ve been doing this together for so long.”
Kroeger described Rattle The Cage as the perfect introduction to the upcoming record.
“‘Rattle The Cage’ felt like the perfect way to kick the door open – it has the energy we’ve been feeding off every night on stage, and we can’t wait for people to hear it.”
The explosive track features guitarist John 5 and delivers massive riffs as Kroeger sings, “Screaming ’till we know that they can hear us down in hell.”
According to the band, Everything Under The Sun will showcase “the complete spectrum of what has made Nickelback one of the biggest rock bands in the world,” featuring arena-ready anthems, reflective songwriting, huge guitars and the chemistry that has defined the band for more than three decades.
The album also marks Nickelback’s first release with Virgin Music Group. Virgin Music Group President, North America, Jacqueline Saturn, said the company is honoured to work with a band with such an enduring legacy and global impact.

The new album follows the release of the band’s acclaimed documentary Hate To Love: Nickelback and their record-breaking Get Rollin’ World Tour, the fastest-selling and highest-attended tour of their career.
Earlier this year, Nickelback also teamed up with Don Broco for the song Nightmare Tripping. Looking back on the documentary, bassist Mike Kroeger said the film gave the band a chance to share their own story.
“With a dearth of real information about Nickelback, it’s been up to the media to compose their own narrative, and this is our opportunity to tell our own story from our perspective.”
He added:
“A lot of the negativity around us was our fault for not sharing our truth because we were too busy writing, recording and touring.”
