If you didn’t know, late Motörhead singer Lemmy Kilmister was a doodler and a writer who filled his share of journals over the years. He often said he’d like to see them published at some point. Well, now you can see and read what Lemmy put in those journals! The band released 500 hand-numbered, limited-edition of “Ye Book Of Inconsequential Scribbles Of Lemmy Kilmister 1st Esq.”. Obviously this is a unique collector’s item and you can only get it online. It was $40 USD and it’s already sold out! I bet they’ll print more, eventually.
As you’d expect, each page is filled with Lemmy’s influence. Attitude. Humour. He was a character!
Lemmy died on December 28, 2015, shortly after learning he had cancer. He was 70 years old.
Motörhead cancelled some shows in ’15 because of his poor health, although the band did manage to tour Europe a couple weeks before he died.
In June 2020, it was announced that Lemmy would get a biopic. The upcoming film, “Lemmy”, will be directed by Greg Olliver, who also did the 2010 documentary of the same name, “Lemmy”.
If you haven’t been and are a super Lemmy fan, remember there’s a custom-made urn with Lemmy’s ashes on permanent at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood, California.
RIP to a legend who continues to live on. Love to see what was in these journals.
