Linkin Park Releases A Cappella Version Of ‘From Zero’ Album: Listen

Okay. This is pretty cool! Leave it to Linkin Park to continually reinvent themselves and how it’s done. So if you haven’t heard, Linkin Park just released an a cappella/vocals-only version of their latest album, “From Zero”. They’re calling it “From Zero – A Cappellas”. Hear it below. If you like this band/album, prepare for a mind-melting!

Stats guy says the original version of “From Zero” was released last November (’24) and was Linkin Park’s first full-length effort since 2017’s “One More Light” – the last Linkin Park album before the death of lead singer Chester Bennington.

“From Zero” is Linkin Park’s first album with new singer Emily Armstrong and new drummer Colin Brittain. Co-vocalist and main producer Mike Shinoda is still in the band, as are guitarist Brad Delson, bassist Dave “Phoenix” Farrell and DJ/visual director Joe Hahn. Guitarist Alex Feder is filling in for departed guitarist Brad Delson for the foreseeable future.

Last fall, Shinoda talked to L.A.’s KROQ and touched on the the emotions surrounding Linkin Park’s return, “It’s really complicated. For me, two years ago it was very overwhelming, and I think the best thing that we did was to just basically let things happen in the order and at the timeline that they were gonna happen, let things happen organically and not push too hard. And I feel like what ended up evolving was we just naturally kind of found each other, we found this new lineup, we found Emily and Colin in particular, and the music just kind of came into focus based on what we were having the most fun doing.”

Linkin Park announced their new lineup during a September 2024 one-hour global livestream of a concert in Los Angeles.

And of course, last November, Linkin Park announced their huge world tour – North America, Europe, Asia and South America – that starts in January with three dates in Mexico, then goes to Japan and a one-off show in Jakarta, Indonesia. It’s the US (and hopefully Canada) this spring/summer and then end in November with a run throughout South America.
