You’re getting a new Linkin Park album this year! The band – Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell, Joe Hahn – and new members co-vocalist Emily Armstrong (Dead Sara) and drummer Colin Brittain (G Flip, Illenium, One OK Rock) has shared their first new music in seven years!
The band has already shared a new single, “The Emptiness Machine” (see below), has done a global livestream performance, and announced the launch of six upcoming arena shows in Los Angeles, New York, Hamburg, London, Seoul, and Bogota as part of the “From Zero World Tour”. LP Underground fan club exclusive pre-sales start today, September 6, and general on-sales September 7.
The new album, ‘From Zero’, is coming November 15!
As you’d expect, members of the band – Shinoda, Delson, Farrell and Hahn – started meeting up over the recent years. And rather than “trying to restart the band”, they just hung out. Reconnected. And they brought musician friends into the studio to test the waters. Armstong and Brittain stood out. And “From Zero” was born.
Shinoda says, “Before Linkin Park, our first band name was Xero. This album title refers to both this humble beginning and the journey we’re currently undertaking. Sonically and emotionally, it is about past, present, and future — embracing our signature sound, but new and full of life. It was made with a deep appreciation for our new and longtime bandmates, our friends, our family, and our fans. We are proud of what Linkin Park has become over the years, and excited about the journey ahead.”
Shinoda talks about the new members, “The more we worked with Emily and Colin, the more we enjoyed their world-class talents, their company, and the things we created. We feel really empowered with this new lineup and the vibrant and energized new music we’ve made together. We’re weaving together the sonic touchpoints we’ve been known for and still exploring new ones.”

Well? What do you think of this revamped Linkin Park lineup? I’m on the fence. I wanna hear the whole album before making any judgements. Big shoes to fill, and I am a big fan of now-gone drummer Rob. So. Yeah.
