Can you even wrap your head around how good this looks?! Trafalgar Releasing just put out a new official trailer for the upcoming Iron Maiden documentary, now titled Iron Maiden: Burning Ambition!
Chronicling one of rock’s most iconic journeys, the film hits theatres for a limited run starting May 7, 2026, with tickets on sale now.
Directed by Malcolm Venville (Churchill At War) and produced by Dominic Freeman (Spirits In The Forest – A Depeche Mode Film), the feature-length doc tracks Iron Maiden’s five-decade rise from East London to global dominance.
Alongside the band, the film features on-camera reflections from heavy hitters like Javier Bardem, Lars Ulrich, and Chuck D, each speaking to Maiden’s impact on music, culture, and generations of fans.
First teased in February, the film’s key art—created by Albert Quirantes—offered an early glimpse at the project’s visual identity.
Formed in East London in 1975 by bassist Steve Harris, Iron Maiden have become one of the most influential and enduring bands in rock history. Across 50 years, they’ve released 17 studio albums, sold over 100 million records, and played nearly 2,500 shows in 64 countries.
The documentary lands as the band continues its two-year Run For Your Lives world tour, including a massive homecoming show at London Stadium—just a short distance from where it all began.
Also on deck: a one-off celebration dubbed EddFest, set for July 11 at Knebworth Park, part of a 50+ date global run in 2026.
Maiden’s next album should be called ‘Eddie Shows No Signs Of Slowing Down’.
