I remember going to Disneyland around that time – probably 1986 – and INXS played Disneyland while I was there. Talk about life-altering experience. They were so good that it left a life-long impression on me.

So anyway, last night (February 12), the band jumped on social media to announce the new collection is being released on May 9. You’ll be able to get the deluxe edition in several variations, including a 1LP and 3CD set.

The ‘Listen Like Thieves’ anniversary deluxe has a new mix of the album by Giles Martin and Paul Hicks, AND some unreleased outtakes, previously unheard songs and demos, plus an interview with the band by writer Paul Sexton.

There’s also B-sides, remixes and live recordings, as well as the rare BBC recording ‘Live From The Royal Albert Hall, London, 1986’.

You can PRE-ORDER a copy of INXS’ ‘Listen Like Thieves’ 40th anniversary deluxe edition now.

The ’85 album was the band’s international breakthrough, and in 1986, INXS played London’s Royal Albert Hall, which the BBC recorded. Five years later, they headlined Wembley Stadium, to a sold-out crowd of 72,000 fans.

INXS’ ’87 album ‘Kick’ was their biggest album. Ten years later, singer Michael Hutchence died by suicide. And did you hear this, after his death, it came out that Hutchence suffered brain damange after being assaulted by a taxi driver in Denmark in 1995.

Crazy, right?

This release is super cool. Love INXS and can’t wait to hear these unreleased songs/demos. Which band, if you could pick ONE, would you like to hear unreleased/demos from?
