Hulu to Premiere Bon Jovi Docuseries ‘Thank You, Goodnight’

January 23, 2024

Hulu has acquired “Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story”, the first-ever docuseries about the band’s history (with full cooperation from all band members)! The docuseries celebrates the band’s 40th anniversary of its debut album, released on January 21, 1984.

Jon Bon Jovi, guitarist Richie Sambora, keyboardist David Bryan, bassist Alec John Such and drummer Tico Torres formed Bon Jovi in ’83.

The four-part docuseries premieres Friday, April 26 on Hulu and is coming soon to Star+ in Latin America and Disney+ in all other territories.

As you’d expect, the series will take you behind the music and the man, Jon Bon Jovi.

The description reads, “As thrilling as the story of a once-in-a-lifetime talent is, it is even more rare that a legend like Jon Bon Jovi lets the world into his most vulnerable moments while he’s still living them. Forty years of personal videos, unreleased early demos, original lyrics and never-before-seen photos that chronicle the journey from Jersey Shore clubs to the biggest stages on the planet. The series relives the triumphs and setbacks, greatest hits, biggest disappointments and most public moments of friction.”

They created the docuseries sifting through forty years of personal videos, unreleased early demos, original lyrics and never-before-seen photos. It documents Bon Jovi’s rise from Jersey Shore clubs to sold-out Arena tours. You’ll see the successes and setbacks, their biggest songs, biggest disappointments and all the band drama you need.

Over their career, Bon Jovi has released 15 albums and were also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in ’18.

I love that they’re doing docuseries around big 80s bands. Which other bands would you like to see create & release docuseries?
