Who doesn’t love a good cryptic tease?! Arcade Fire has their fans in a tail spin (thinking about new music), after an announcement with the name ‘Circle Of Trust’.
Last month, Arcade Fire got their fanbase buzzing when they made drastic changes to their social media pages. On Instagram, they wiped all of their posts and uploaded a new profile picture, bio and website link.
Since then, it has included a bio with the message: “It’s the year of the snake so let your heart break”, along with a profile picture with the word “TRUST”. Back in 2022, the band did the same thing to their Instagram account, removing posts and changing artwork.
So, maybe that’s just their thing? But when they did that in 2022, they also announced their 6th album, ‘WE’.
A couple days ago, Arcade Fire shared the video below, where an unseen person finger-paints “TRUST” on the back of a tambourine. And the message said, “See you at 5pm central in the Circle of Trust”.

In March, after the Instagram shuffle, some fans noticed posts shared by the band on Stories as well, with one fan saying, “Circle Of Trust, 99 per cent sure that’s the album name. So excited.” Another said, “It would be cool if they did a full album drop this time around. I can’t imagine they expect anything but negativity in the media surrounding new singles and an upcoming album. A surprise release seems like something a bit different from them.”
Of course, this will be Arcade Fire’s first album since the allegations of sexual misconduct direct against singer Win Butler. Four people accused him of inappropriate behaviour (remember, Feist dropped off their ‘WE’ tour as the opening act in response).
Butler responded in a lengthy statement, saying he was “very sorry to anyone who I have hurt with my behaviour” and maintained that “these relationships were all consensual”.
New Arcade Fire is coming. What should they call the album?
