Big news! Deftones confirmed that their first album in five years, ‘Private Music’, will be out on August 22! You can pre-order it here. Further to the album announcement, they announced a 2026 UK/European tour, too!
Deftones ’26 UK/European dates include Paris’ Adidas Arena on January 29, before taking in Brussels, Hamburg, Munich, Lodz, Berlin, Dortmund, Stuttgart and Amsterdam. Then, shows in the UK in Birmingham’s BP Pulse Live, followed by Glasgow, Manchester, Dublin and Cardiff. They round off the tour with a huge show at London’s The O2 on February 20.

Tickets for the shows go on sale next Friday, July 18. If you order ‘Private Music’ early, you will get early access to tickets.
‘my mind is a mountain’ is off the new album (which was co-produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Alice In Chains, Foo Fighters) – and the same guy who produced Deftones’ 2010’s ‘Diamond Eyes’ and 2012’s ‘Koi No Yoka’).
When Deftones release the new album, they start their North American tour on the same day (August 22) in Vancouver!
It appears Deftones are ready with a new album. Remember, in September 2023, they teased a full-length album was coming in 2024. That, of course, never happend. Then in spring ’24, they said they were adding the finishing touches on a new album, “(We) have a whole record recorded all musically,” Moreno said. “And it’s pretty much my job right now to finish up the vocals… We’re not really in a rush. We want it to be great. I think that’s most important. But it is coming, and, yeah – it’s really good.”
What do you think about the lead-off single they released? And why is Deftones one of the coolest bands on the planet?
