Daughtry Announces ‘Shock To The System (Part One)’ EP, Shares ‘The Reckoning’ Single
Great news! Daughtry is set to release a new EP, “Shock To The System (Part One)”, on September 27. And they released the new song, “The Reckoning”!
Singer Chris Daughtry says the new song is “about that moment in life when you realize that you are in control of your own destiny. It’s about that moment you decide to take responsibility for the person you want to be and the choices you have to make to become that version of yourself — the day you understand that you are no longer a victim of circumstance, rather the creator of your own experience.”
“The Reckoning” joins previous releases “Nervous”, “Pieces” and “Artificial” on the new EP, the latter gave the band their first #1 at Active Rock and first #1 single in 15 years.
Meanwhile, Daughtry is set to tour U.S. dates this fall.
Daughtry is one of the best selling rock bands of the 21st century. Their self-titled debut album was the top-selling album of ’07 and was the fastest-selling rock debut album in SoundScan history. The album had four Grammy Awards nominations and won four American Music Awards, alongside seven Billboard Music Awards.
