Have you heard? Courtney Love is back in the spotlight with Antiheroine!
This new documentary will be shown at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival. Directed by Edward Lovelace and James Hall (The Possibilities Are Endless), the film is produced by Dorothy St. Pictures, the company behind the Victoria Beckham Netflix series and 2023’s Pamela: A Love Story.
The official synopsis reads: “Singer, songwriter, and actor Courtney Love has long had an impact on rock and pop culture. Now sober and set to release new music for the first time in over a decade, Courtney is ready to reveal her story, unfiltered and unapologetic.”
Sundance 2026 will also showcase The Moment, a mockumentary starring Charli XCX, the heist movie The Gallerist with Jenna Ortega, and the erotic thriller I Want Your Sex, featuring Cooper Hoffman and Olivia Wilde.
The festival runs from January 22 to February 1.
Love, iconic frontwoman of Hole and a solo artist, has been a defining figure in rock since the 1990s. Hole’s last album, Nobody’s Daughter, came out in 2010, while her solo effort America’s Sweetheart came out in 2004. Fans are eager for her upcoming solo album, and Love also teased her memoir and plans to become a British citizen, declaring: “I’m finally getting my British citizenship in six months. I get to be a citizen – I’m applying, man! Can’t get rid of me!”
Meanwhile, news outta left field, Adam Sandler recently shared his admiration for Hole’s Live Through This, saying it’s one of his all-time favourites.
100% I’ll be watching this doc. You?
