Arejay Hale Hopes Halestorm Releases A New Album In 2025

Halestorm drummer Arejay Hale was recently a guest of The VORTX Podcast and you’ll be happy to hear that new music should be coming sooner than later! “I’m hoping next year… We always say the same thing. It’s, like, it’ll be out when we’re done with it (laughs) and the whole process after it — getting it mixed, getting it mastered, getting the promotion campaign together and all that. There’s a lot to it. But the experience has been great ’cause we’re doing it in Savannah with (producer) Dave Cobb, and Dave Cobb is absolutely killing the game right now.”

Asked if the band sets a deadline to finish the album, Hale said, “It used to be a lot more stringent in the early days. ‘Cause when you’re trying to get the band off the ground, you really wanna kind of keep that momentum going. But our last couple of records have been a little bit more laid back, which is nice. It kind of gives it room to breathe. It gives us time to like really assess where we wanna go. And definitely COVID changed everything.”

Last month, Halestorm singer Lzzy Hale was a guest of Razor 94.7/104.7 (WZOR) and talked about working with producer Dave Cobb, “The process has been very like A.D.D., which I really love, because all of us are a little touched by (it) (laughs), if anybody has noticed over the years. But it was a great challenge, because this is Dave Cobb. He’s worked with Rival Sons and Airbourne, but that’s like the rock world that he’s in. He’s made most of his name from Brandi Carlile and Chris Stapleton and Jason Isbell, whom I love, all three of those artists, so much.”

Meanwhile, Halestorm and I Prevail recently started their summer 2024 co-headlining tour (on July 9). It runs thru August 17 in Las Vegas. Hollywood Undead and Fit For A King open the shows.

Can’t wait to hear new music! Is Halestorm the best siblings band of the last decade?
