Hollywood Walk Of Fame Reveals Class Of 2027 With Linkin Park, Smashing Pumpkins, Ramones And More

Sometimes Hollywood reaches into its own history and reminds you just how many artists have shaped the soundtrack, stories and memories of our lives.

The latest Hollywood Walk Of Fame class does that, bringing together legendary musicians, actors, TV icons and entertainment pioneers who will soon have their names etched into one of the world’s most recognizable landmarks.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has announced the 32 honourees selected for the Hollywood Walk Of Fame Class of 2027. The recipients were chosen from hundreds of nominations by the Walk Of Fame Selection Committee during its May 15 meeting before being ratified by the Chamber’s Board of Directors on July 22.

Walk Of Fame selection chairman Peter Roth praised this year’s class, saying:

“The Walk Of Fame Selection Committee is proud to welcome the Class of 2027 to one of the most enduring symbols of achievement in entertainment. These 32 extraordinary individuals have each made a lasting impact on audiences around the world through their talent, creativity, and dedication to their craft. We are honored to recognize their remarkable contributions and look forward to celebrating them as they take their place in Hollywood history.”

Music fans will see a particularly strong lineup honoured in the Recording category, with Linkin Park, Smashing Pumpkins, Ramones, David Guetta, Karol G, Sia, Lil Wayne, Marc Shaiman, Joseph Saddler (Grandmaster Flash) and Waylon Jennings receiving stars. Jennings will be honoured posthumously.

The announcement was made during a live press conference by Walk Of Famers Ming-Na Wen and Sheila E., alongside Hollywood Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Ron Frierson.

While the stars have been awarded, fans will have to wait a little longer before gathering on Hollywood Boulevard. Ceremony dates have not yet been announced, and each recipient has two years to schedule their dedication after being selected. Individual ceremony dates are typically revealed about ten days before they take place.

For generations, earning a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame has stood as one of entertainment’s most enduring honours, recognizing artists whose work has left a lasting mark on audiences around the world.
