Family Guy Spin-Off ‘Stewie’ Gets Two-Season Order

Do you really need this?

A new spin-off from Family Guy is officially on the way, and this time the spotlight belongs to the diaper-wearing mastermind himself.

According to Deadline, Fox Broadcasting Company and Hulu have handed a two-season order to Stewie, a new animated series centred on the Griffin family’s evil-genius baby.

Created by Seth MacFarlane and longtime Family Guy writer-producer Kirker Butler, the show follows Stewie after he gets kicked out of his old preschool and is forced to start fresh somewhere… less prestigious.

From there, things get weird. Very weird.

Stewie’s new classroom includes a handful of miserable kids and a 75-year-old turtle with opinions about everything. But boredom doesn’t last long once Stewie starts unleashing his usual arsenal of gadgets, turning ordinary school days into chaotic trips through time, space, and whatever else his twisted little brain can imagine.

MacFarlane will executive produce the series and continue voicing Stewie.

“I’d like to thank Fox for this incredible opportunity,” MacFarlane joked in a statement. “And I’m excited to start pretending I’m collaborating closely with them on the show.”

Butler added his own jab: “I’ve known Seth for more than two decades and worked with him on half a dozen projects. I’m hopeful this is the one where he finally learns my name.”

Stewie is expected to premiere during the 2027–28 TV season on Fox, streaming the next day on Hulu and globally via Disney+.

The series becomes the second official Family Guy spin-off, following The Cleveland Show, which ran for four seasons beginning in 2009.

Meanwhile, the original Family Guy continues to roll on. The animated hit is currently in its 24th season, and MacFarlane has previously said he sees no real reason to end it anytime soon.
