Singer Courtney Love just sparked fresh reunion rumours after posting a cryptic video on Instagram featuring former bassist Melissa Auf der Maur.
In the clip, Auf der Maur appears in a flowing gown, dancing in slow motion while the band’s 1998 track Malibu plays underneath.
Love’s caption said it all: “So do we tell the kids about the tour?”
Auf der Maur replied in the comments, “It starts with eternal love…”
The classic Hole lineup has been mostly inactive since 2002, though Love has teased the idea of a reunion more than once over the years.
Still, there have been signs of life lately. Love and Auf der Maur were back in the studio together in 2024 for the first time in over two decades, and also appeared on 070 Shake’s cover of Song to the Siren, originally written by Tim Buckley.
Is a full reunion actually coming? Sure seems like it!
With Courtney Love, you never really know. But this could be the loudest hint yet.
