The next chapter is coming like a war cry.
In a new interview with Mark Strigl, Evanescence drummer Will Hunt confirmed the band’s follow-up to 2021’s The Bitter Truth is coming this year!
“It’s another level,” Hunt said. “Amy’s pushing boundaries. We’re all pushing boundaries.”
Four songs were cut with longtime producer Nick Raskulinecz, the architect behind the band’s 2011 self-titled record and The Bitter Truth. The original plan was to mix and match producers last time around, but COVID slammed that door shut.
Enter Jordan Fish (formerly of Bring Me the Horizon) and producer/mixer Zakk Cervini, who’s mixing the entire album.
Cervini already tested the waters with “Afterlife,” the track featured in the Devil May Cry Netflix series. That song was the spark. Now they’ve built a wildfire, tracking six or seven songs with Fish and Cervini.
And let’s not forget the recent Australia and New Zealand run, including support dates for Metallica.

Great news, right? A new Evanescence record is coming!
