Have you heard? Netflix just released the first look at Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, an animated spin-off that dives back into Hawkins, Indiana, for a whole new chapter of supernatural chaos!
Set between Seasons 2 and 3 of the original series, Tales From ’85 follows a fresh cast of young adventurers facing new monsters and mysteries in the dead of winter. Brooklyn Davey Norstedt takes over as Eleven, joined by Jolie Hoang-Rappaport (Max), Ej Williams (Lucas), Ben Plessala (Will), Luca Diaz (Mike), and Braxton Quinney (Dustin).
Also lending their voices: Brett Gipson as Hopper, Odessa A’zion, Janeane Garofalo, and Lou Diamond Phillips.
“Welcome back to Hawkins in the stark winter of 1985,” the official logline teases. “The original characters must fight new monsters and unravel a paranormal mystery terrorizing their town.”
Created by Stranger Things masterminds Matt and Ross Duffer, the series is executive produced by the Duffer Brothers, Dan Cohen, Shawn Levy, and Hilary Leavitt, with Eric Robles as showrunner.
According to the Duffers, Tales From ’85 channels the energy of classic ’80s Saturday morning cartoons: “With animation, there’s really no limits. Eric and his team can go wild—and they have.” Robles added, “We’ve captured the magic of Hawkins in a new way. Nothing is quite what it seems.”
Grab your flashlight and backpack. The adventure begins next year on Netflix.
Meanwhile, the fifth and final season of Stranger Things lands in three parts: November 27, December 26, and January 1. The finale will even hit select theatres across North American and the UK.
