Foo Fighters light the fuse. New song. New era. Stadiums incoming.

Foo Fighters are back in motion! Their new song, “Asking For A Friend”, was released yesterday (Oct 23). It’s a slow-burner that erupts into Grohl’s soul-scorching refrain: “What is real? I’m asking for a friend.”

The song pulses with tension, ending in a storm of distortion that feels ready for stadiums worldwide!

The band teased the song earlier this month, saying, “about to take flight” and now we know why. Alongside the release comes a huge North American stadium tour set for summer 2026, with stops in Toronto, Detroit, Chicago, Philadelphia, Nashville, Vancouver, Las Vegas, and more.

Queens Of The Stone Age will open every show except Fargo on September 12, where the Foos will go it alone. Tickets go on sale Friday, October 31 at 10 a.m. local time, and Grohl’s already promised “many more shows to come.”

Grohl described “Asking For A Friend” as “a song for those who have waited patiently in the cold, relying on hope and faith for their horizon to appear… one of many songs to come.”

Reflecting on their recent return to live shows, Grohl added, “From reuniting as a band and brushing off 30 years of songs to reconnecting with our fans and blasting them with everything we’ve got, we’ve remembered exactly why we do this.”

The Foos’ 2026 tour follows a heavy stretch of recording and regrouping after the loss of Taylor Hawkins. Now with Ilan Rubin (ex–Nine Inch Nails) on drums, the band’s lineup is ready to move again.

Grohl also shouted out his long friendship with Josh Homme, calling QOTSA’s inclusion on the tour “a full-circle moment.”

“In 1992 I saw Kyuss at the Off Ramp in Seattle. Thirty-three years later, I get to share the stage with Josh again. A lifelong bond that goes far beyond the sound we’ve made together.”

With “Asking For A Friend” lighting the fuse and a full-blown stadium run on deck, Foo Fighters are once again doing what they do best!

Foo and Queens? This HAS TO BE the tour of ’26!
