It’s been a few years since you heard a new Richard Ashcroft album and that’s about to change. He just announced that he wants to release a new album before he embarks on his opening slot for Oasis‘ upcoming tour!
Ashcroft, the former Verve frontman, was announced as support for Oasis’ tour last October. Cast is also one of the opening acts.
Ahead of the tour, Ashcroft released a statement: “As a fan from day one I was buzzing for many reasons when the news of Oasis’ return was announced. I can say with no exaggeration that the songwriting talent of Noel and Liam’s pure spirit as a lead singer helped to inspire me to create some of my best work. It was the perfection of ‘Live Forever’ that forced me to try and write my own. They dared to be great, made the dreams we had real and I will always remember those days with joy.”
Richard added, “Now it’s time to create more memories and I’m ready to bring it. See you next summer. Music is power.”
Now, Ashcroft readies his seventh studio album, ‘Lovin’ You’, his first since 2018’s ‘Natural Rebel’ and the follow-up for 2021’s ‘Acoustic Hymns, Vol.1’. You can pre-order the album here. The album is out October 3, ’25.
You’ll be able to get the LP on black vinyl, CD and in digital formats. His official store will offer a neon orange vinyl.
