Speaking of take your time, Madonna just announced her long-awaited (and rumoured) ‘Veronica Electronica’ album!

You first heard about this project. back in 1998. Back then she said it would be an eight-track companion to her ‘Ray Of Light’ album. Designed as a remix LP, ‘Veronica Electronica’ got sidelined because of ‘Ray Of Light”s success (it sold over 16million album and won the material girl four Grammys).

Now, more than a quarter of a century later, Madonna says you can expect ‘Veronica Electronica’ on July 25. You can pre-order here.

As you’d expect, the album has  rare and unreleased remixes. Stuff from the ‘Ray Of Light’ tracklist, including club versions from the late Peter Rauhofer, producer William Orbit, Sasha, BT, and Victor Calderone. AND you’ll hear the demo for ‘Gone, Gone, Gone’.

Couple cool spots in terms of where you’ll be able to get the album; of course digitally,  and in silver vinyl (that includes an exclusive silver mylar lithograph).

To celebrate the announcement, Madonna released ‘Skin (The Collaboration Remix Edit)’!

The ‘Veronica Electronica’ tracklist:

1. ‘Drowned World/Substitute For Love – BT & Sasha Bucklodge Ashram New Edit’
2. ‘Ray Of Light – Sasha Twilo Mix Edit’
3. ‘Skin – The Collaboration Remix Edit’
4. ‘Nothing Really Matters – Club 69 Speed Mix Meets The Dub’
5. ‘Sky Fits Heaven – Victor Calderone Future New Edit’
6. ‘Frozen – Widescreen Mix and Drums’
7. ‘The Power Of Good-Bye – Fabien’s Good God Mix Edit’
8. ‘Gone, Gone, Gone – Original Demo Version’

And don’t forget, beyond ‘Veronica Electronica’, Madonna said new music could come later in the year. Regardless of its release date, a new album would be the first since 2019’s ‘Madame X’ LP.

Meanwhile, if you believe everything you read on the internet, Madonna is said to be working on a show based on her life for release on Netflix and is apparently working with director Shawn Levy (Deadpool & Wolverine).

Cool to see Madonna still bangin’ away. Which band/artist do you wish would release new music?
