Waynes World fans set record?

July 7, 2017

To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the release of Waynes World,  fans gathered in Aurora, Illinois, to party on. They were also there to set a new Guinness World Record for consecutive amount of people head banging, which they totally did.

Fans in attendance, just over 1000 people, simultaneously headbanged during a live orchestra performance of Queen’s “Bohemiam Rhapsody” and set the record during the electric guitar buildup (just like in the movie.) Even Aurora’s mayor Richard Irvin was in the crowd head banging!

Check out the footage below.

According to the Guinness World Records website, they only had to beat 320 Australians teenagers who set the record to AC/DC’s “Long Way To The Top” in 2014.

It’s actually kind of surprising that the record is only 1000 people though. I have a feeling there were more than 1000 people present in Montreal this night.
