Watch the first trailer for ‘Hellboy’
What do you think about the first trailer for the upcoming reboot of Hellboy? They released it a few days ago to mixed reviews.
Actor Ron Perlman was Hellboy for the comic book’s 2004 movie Hellboy and 2008’s Hellboy II: The Golden Army.
The reboot of Hellboy is expected in theatres on April 12, 2019 and obviously Perlman isn’t starring in this movie. That would be a sequel, not a reboot. Instead, actor David Harbour from ‘Stranger Things’ will play the title character.
Selma Blair was vocal about the decision to make a reboot instead of a sequel, saying she was “heartbroken”. Kinda have to agree, no? I’m not heartbroken, will still watch the movie (I’m a huge fan of the comic)… but Perlman set a bar that I wonder if Harbour can hit.
Are you a fan of all these remakes / reboots? Or should filmmakers focus on making good NEW movies that compete with proven franchises like Hellboy?
