Josh Boone’s highly anticipated miniseries adaptation of Stephen King’s The Stand just dropped its first trailer and it looks incredible!

The nine episode miniseries is being released weekly on CBS on December 17th.

If you’ve read the book, this quick 30 seconds tease will have you on edge; from Mother Abigail to Randall Flagg, dreams in Hemingford Home, Nebraska to Larry and Rita’s post-apocalyptic walk through New York City.

Originally published in 1978 and updated in 1990, the 1200 page novel takes place in a world ravaged by an unstoppable plague. Sound familiar?

The miniseries stars Whoopi Goldberg (Mother Abigail), Alexander Skarsgard (Randall Flagg), Odessa Young (Frannie Goldsmith), Jovan Adepo (Larry Underwood), Owen Teague (Harold Lauder), Heather Graham (Rita Blakemoor), Nat Wolff (Lloyd Henreid), James Marsden (Stu Redman), Amber Heard (Nadine Cross) and Greg Kinnear (Glen Bateman).
