Director Spike Lee has tackled making a movie about the true story of Ron Stallworth, an African-American detective bent on taking down the Ku Klux Klan. Lee is calling the film BlacKkKlansman – and they’ve released the first official trailer!

The movie stars John David Washington as detective “Ron Stallworth” and Adam Driver as a veteran detective “Flip Zimmerman”.

Jordan Peele (Key & Peele, Get Out) co-produced BlacKkKlansman. The movie is scheduled to be in theatres August 10th.
