Watch: Sneak Peek of Peter Jackson’s Beatles Doc ‘Get Back’!

December 21, 2020

Prepare to have your mind blown. Director Peter Jackson had 56 hours of never before seen footage to sift through to make The Beatles: Get Back documentary. And since its released date has been pushed to August 27, 2021, he’s released a sneak peek!

Beatles bassist/singer Paul McCartney posted the above video on his Twitter account today (Dec 21 ’20), which features footage shot in 1969 including the infamous 1969 rooftop concert in London.

Get Back will look at recording 1970’s Let It Be album and show a different version of the band’s break up than what’s been presented over the years. Drummer Ringo Starr said, “There were hours and hours of us just laughing and playing music, not at all like the version that came out. There was a lot of joy and I think Peter will show that. I think this version will be a lot more peace and loving, like we really were.”

Based on the above sneak peek, looks like Jackson has hit another home run! Cannot wait to see this documentary in full!!
