Watch: Slash, Lzzy Hale, Gilby Clarke and Matt Sorum ‘Come Together’!
This was pretty cool of Morrison Hotel Gallery and Rolling Stone Live Studios this past Saturday (August 15)! They hosted a bunch of musicians for (De)Tour, a virtual charity festival to benefit the efforts of MusiCares and NIVA! Below is one of the highlights; a cover of The Beatles’ “Come Together” by Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale, Perry, Slash, Gilby Clarke, Matt Sorum and David Bowie pianist Mike Garson.
The show featured TONS of stars; The Beatles’ Ringo Starr, Linda Perry, GnR’s Slash, Bush’s Gavin Rossdale, Sean Lennon, Cheap Trick, John Oates, ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, Run DMC’s DMC, Matt Sorum and The Pretty Reckless’ Taylor Momsen.
Momsen told Rolling Stone, “MusicCares has helped so many of my friends and family in the music community. And now, branching out to COVID relief and all the other angles that help the music world is incredible and such an honour to be a part of.”
Have you watched many live-streamed shows since COVID-19 took over? What’s been your favourite so far?
