Watch “Rocketman” Elton John Biopic Trailer
You may not be seeing the Elton John biopic “Rocketman” in theatres til May 2019 but that doesn’t mean you won’t see some movie trailers before then. They just released the first one over the weekend!
The movie will look at John’s days at Royal Academy of Music to his days as a superstar. Taron Egerton plays Elton (and even decently sings “Rocket Man” in the trailer).
Don’t you just love that the trailer closes with a title card that notes the film is “based on a true fantasy.” So good.
Joining Egerton are castmembers Jamie Bell as Bernie Taupin and Bryce Dallas Howard as John’s mother Sheila Eileen. It’s directed by Dexter Fletcher (who is also doing the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody). Elton John is producing the movie.
Who is next? David Bowie? ABBA?
