How cool is this? This Sunday, April 19, AXS TV will premiere the fifth season of “Rock & Roll Road Trip With Sammy Hagar” (8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT)! There’s six new episodes where you’ll see Sammy at his Cabo Wabo Cantina, hanging with Shaquille O’Neal at his Big Chicken restaurant and jamming with Def Leppard during their residency at Planet Hollywood!

On April 26 episode Hagar sits down with Grammy award winner Rob Thomas and they play “Smooth” together on-stage. On May 3, it’s Hagar and Ted Nugent… and archery? The two also jam in Nugent’s living room.

May 10? It’s Big & Rich. May 17 sees Hagar hooking up with Queen guitarist Brian May, plus The Eagles’ Joe Walsh and Grammy winner Tanya Tucker. May 31 it’s Extreme singer (and former Van Halen) Gary Cherone.

The series is expecting to record more shows once the coronavirus pandemic is under control. Whenever the hell that is.

Hagar said, “We have an absolute blast producing this show each year, visiting incredible locations to sit down with some of the most legendary entertainers of all time. This is a dream come true for me, traveling the country to hang out and play music with my friends, and I am excited to show our fans all the epic things we have planned in season five. The first six episodes include great jam sessions and conversations with some truly talented entertainers, and I already cannot wait for production to start back up again so we can get out there and film this next batch of epic episodes.”
