Disney must be expecting the ‘live-action’ The Lion King to smash at the box office. Otherwise, why else would they make a Mulan live-action movie?
It’s been 22 years since the original 1998 animated movie was in theatres.
This time around, Chinese actress Yifei Liu plays Mulan; a young woman who dresses like a man in order to help her elderly father avoid military servitude.
Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Gong Li, Jason Scott Lee, Tzi Ma and Pei-Pei Cheng also star.
It’s clear why the internet lost its shit when this trailer was released.
