Watch Dave Grohl Drum ‘In Bloom’ With Jazz Band
Imagine being at a jazz show at the Greek Theatre in LA checking out Trombone Shorty and The Preservation Hall Jazz Band and Trombone Shorty plays Nirvana’s “In Bloom” and they get Dave Grohl up to play drums! That happened this past weekend!
Both Trombone Shorty and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band made appearance in Grohl’s “Sonic Highways” HBO series back in 2014, so there’s history there.
They say this is only the 2nd time Grohl has played “In Bloom” live since Nirvana’s end after Cobain’s death. The first time was at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus Bar in 2014, just after Nirvana was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Regardless of how many times he’s played that since the death, ain’t it great seeing Grohl behind the kit playing Nirvana?!?
If they were to do a Nirvana reunion tour – who should front the band?
