With Smashing Pumpkins set to start up a ‘reunion’ tour (still no chance of Darcy Wretzky joining), singer Billy Corgan is doing press … recently hitting The Late Late Show with James Corden to perform an intimate rendition of “Archer.”

Corgan told Rolling Stone back in November 2017, “I had no idea we’d do that (acoustic stripped down songs). But I really grew to love it. Rick [Rubin, who produced the album] has a special, almost spectral-like quality of getting to the heart of a song in a way that’s really, really unique.

In July 2018, Corgan reunites with the original members of the band (minus Wretzky) – for the first time since 2000.

Will we see ‘new’ music from this lineup? Or is it a tour and that’s it?
